Opportunity to be with Family

One thing that draws me to homeschooling is more opportunity to spend time with family. Isaac is doing a puzzle of the USA with his Pa and Granna. I just hope his grandparents can move closer soon!

Isaac found the letters I bought at the homeschooling convention. He begged to play with them. I was planning on not introducing them to him until the fall or "start" of the school year, but then I thought....Wait. With homeschooling, learning is life and can occur anytime, anywhere! He's interested so let him have a go! I may try to "officially" start this fall if you wanna call it that, but I'm going to go ahead and record the activities and things we do for documentation purposes. You never know when someday I need the documentation.

Eli gets the chance to work on his fine motor skills with this foam puzzle. :)
Another beauty of homeschooling, you never know what little brother may be learning by watching big brother.
This was a simple task, intellectually, for Isaac who could say his ABCs even at Eli's age. (Eli could care less right now.) But for me, this was more of a task to get Isaac to use his hands to prepare him for writing.
